Our Little League Baseball Team had just won State. We had a great season with my nephew on the team. We did not have the greatest talent, but before the season started, I had developed a crude algorithm that helped make coaching decisions easier ... and it worked in leading us to the state title.
I am accountant by trade - Taxes, Mergers and Acquisitions are my specialty and we had just completed the divestiture of my largest client. Realizing I had a little break in my schedule, I thought back on what I would like to do with my time off. It was at this moment that I decided to go to Las Vegas, not only because it was the only place I hated leaving any time I visited, but also because:
1. Sports Betting in Texas is not legal and Las Vegas would be the perfect place to test my sports algorithm.
2. I could learn more about the game of craps.
So I decided I would venture into Sin City for 60 days - doing Vegas - Harley Style ...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Five weeks into my venture ...... and I want to thank all that have taken the time and patience to
introduce me to the Dice Influencing (DI) world ........ I was an RRR (Rhythm Random Roller) when
I landed in Vegas from Texas ........ and in the last 2 weeks my toss has
evolved thru great personal advise from the following DIers:
- Ahh Craps (intime) showed me a new throw and set for when I am straight out or in position D3 or D4 playing in groups,
- Soft Touch gave me a quickie that did wonders
- Attended Heavy's GAC where Thom and Maddog gave me some good pointers
- Dice Disciple, Crimson Tide, WildChild and M4N8 have given me valued and countless DI pointers
- not to mention all the other great DIs I have had pleasure of hooking up with like Greenchip, Yahtzee, dj_swim and his brother, PAB, fisher, Charlie009, dicast, big mac, grits and greens, roadrunner & Bermuda
Some things I have learned while in Vegas:
- Do not use your dice tossing hand to pick up the all stainless steal Serving spoons at the Rio Buffet - it will burn your fingertips
- Do not eat the sushi at Harrah's Buffet
- The Freemont Buffet is a little known great secret and always comped for craps players (with a no-waiting line for comped players)
- Wear chapstick everyday - I had a painful split lip for over a week where I did not even want to think about kissing any of the sweeties out here
- Sidewalk chalk in the pocket does wonders for a drier dice grip
- The Captain is not a real person
- The mirrored ceiling tiles above the Tropicana tables are shatter-proof
- I speak better English than most taxi drivers and don't charge freeway rates when I get lost
Bellagio - where Dice Disciple had that monster 44 roll (but
Ahh Craps will never let Dice Disciple forget that it took 26 rolls before he
made his 1st point) ..... they have
removed Table #12 on the back row (corner) that had velvet ropes around it 1
weekend while it was reserved with a full 24 hour crew for a couple of brothers
..... some dealers say it was bought by them while others say it is out
being repaired
Terribles - put on a new felt last week that now includes a
"Midway Bet" that is a 1 roll prop bet (just like the Field Bet) that
pays double on a 6 & 8 and even money on a Big Red (7) ....... so if you
bet the Field and this new Midway Bet, you will have all numbers covered
except the 5.
