MP owns Heavy

Poor MP got his feelings hurt after being embarrassed by everyone picking on him, so he PMed Heavy and gave Heavy an ultimatum that he was going to quit posting on Heavy's board if he did not ban SuperRick

Problem is without MP's BS, Heavy message board lacks any kind of substance ...

So Heavy goes back to teaching craps on his 8 foot tub in the woods of Texas as he gets owned by a Canadian BS artist .... just sad

Mad Professor is Homeless ...

Mad Professor is Homeless ... DiceInstitute.com message board - "Home of the Mad Professor" was shut down for over 72 hours .... during this time he evidently was without his meds as he had trouble spelling (BTW - it is technically a Terms of Use violation in the United States, not some so-called TOS niolation):

Forum deleted for TOS niolation where no breach occured

Without notice, the Dice Institute Forum and Message-board was deleted for a TOS violation.  To the best of our knowledge, no TOS breach occured, however, we are prepared to correct whatever the violation was.
If you want to put the board into maintenance mode while we fix the problem, that would be fine.  In the alternative, if you would allow us to go back in, in read-only mode, so that some of the material can be saved; I would deeply appreciate that.
Thank you,
MP

I'll submit to have the forum reenabled for a secondary review and to at least have the content made available for a limited time.

Thank you very much, I appreciate that.
If there is any material that needs to be deleted, I will see that it is done once it is pointed out.
Thanks again,

Hi Chief,
Can you give any indication when the Dice Institute message-board will be re-opened so we can go in and correct whatever TOS violations have occured?
Thank you,
MP

Was the MP message board shut down due his numerous plagiaristic acts and copyright violations !!??

Or was it shut down due to his libelous contentions which could very well have him served if he ever steps in Nevada again (see NEVADA REVISED STATUTES ) !!??

.... probably a combination of both -- until he started begging the landlord to let him back in

You can make donations to MP's noted email address, but unlike homeless donations in America that are tax deductible, these will not be.

MP = Mythomaniac Pathological ...

Addendum to  http://dicecraps.blogspot.com/search/label/Mad%20Professor:

It seems a few craps boards cannot survive on their own merit, so they allow a poster to embellish their boards with his myths unchecked in order to give them content without substance.  This fictional writer from Canada calls himself MP or Mad Professor.  Based on his postings, I contend MP stands for Mythomaniac Pathological.

Pathological liar or mythomaniac is someone that "may be suffering from histrionic personality disorder or narcissistic personality disorder."
Some Characteristics
Exaggerates things that are ridiculous.
  • One-upping. Whatever you do, this person can do it better. You will never top them in their own mind, because they have a concerted need to be better than everyone else. This also applies to being right. If you try to confront an individual like this, no matter how lovingly and well-intentioned you might be - this will probably not be effective. It's threatening their fantasy of themselves, so they would rather argue with you and bring out the sharp knives than admit that there's anything wrong with them.
  • They "construct" a reality around themselves. They don't value the truth, especially if they don't see it as hurting anyone. If you call them on a lie and they are backed into a corner, they will act very defensively and say ugly things ..., but they may eventually start to act like, "Well, what's the difference? You're making a big deal out of nothing!" (again, to refocus the conversation to your wrongdoing instead of theirs). ...
  • Obviously, they will contradict what they say. This will become very clear over time. They usually aren't smart enough to keep track of so many lies (who would be?).
One familiar with MP's rants:
Actually Mad Professor does give a very straight ego-centric answer and because he has created his persona cloaked in anonymity, he can say whatever he wants without ever being held to any standard.  Some can consider this genius and still that anonymity has to frustrate him. This, does not make him a politician.  He has no constituents to answer for accountability. You have to know, if you read between the lines, he is basically stating: "you all can kiss my a$$" to all his detractors. He's gonna state whatever he wants and no one needs to hold him accountable. After all, if you don't know who he is, he can create whatever stories he wants.  Cowardly, if you ask me and insecure. For better or for worse, the authorities have placed them selves in the public eye and taken their lumps just like the rest of the community.
He subtly berates those he deems ignorant and praises those that stroke his proverbial peacock feathers.  ...
Many true dice players no longer operate on the same frequency as the MP and many other figures seen as authorities of the game in some shape of form.  Some figures have this incessant need to feel that they know everything far beyond anyone else and as long as there is an audience, regardless of which side they fall on his opinions, MP will continue to spew his wordy fantasies and you or I should not serve to dispute them.
In the end, it seems to me that it is about our own performance and how that translates into monetary results.  I don't care what his, or anyone else's, results are.  I only care about my own.
Pity the players who continue to feel the answer to mastering this game remains outside of themselves and religiously adheres to the fantastical results of someone else.
I believe DeadCat aka Vegas Baby that lives with his Mother and lost his job due to failing an ICE inspection can verify that this saying applies to MP's advice:

Biased Dice video ...

Watch this video and you will see what commonly occurs with unbalanced biased dice:

Video Link ---->  Aces twice, 6/2 five times

What you are Seeing:
1.  a very nice dice laboratory with an excellent security camera system.

2. Biased dice being used in this video. Notice the faces occurring during these 2 streaks are all on one plane -- the 1, 2 and 6s.  This is what happens with biased dice more often than not (see more discussion at Link --> Biased Dice ... )  The 3s and 4s end up as the axles and disappear all too often when the 5 and 6 are heavier due to the heavier resin used in the white pips (dots).

3.  Furthermore, the stated odds by the author on YouTube are for balanced dice, and therefore not correct for this set of dice:
This is a short spurt where I got aces twice in a row followed by 6-2 five times in a row. ... Rolling the same non-pair 4 times in a row after the initial roll is a 1 in 104,976 occurrence .. any initial non pair is a 5/6 chance making the total 1 in 125,971.
4.  Less than 2 minutes from hundreds of hours of video - sure if you toss the dice hundreds of hours at home on your practice table, almost anything can and will occur .... we are only seeing a snippet here as the author notes on DiceInstitute.com:
"The security camera system runs for every single toss on the table."
What you are NOT Seeing:
1. No proof that he is using fair balanced dice

2.  No proof how old the dice are - most dice are only used for approximately 500 tosses or 8 hours (except Caesars LV) for a reason - they tend to become biased after then on their own .... so is it any doubt that a string of numbers is easier to obtain after many hours of use.

"Drunk Dice shooters are better" is a fact ...

Did you ever notice how the drunkest player on the craps table was often the luckiest "best" shooter of the session !!   Seasoned craps players will often bet on the drunk shooter --- others scoff at this as a superstition.

A new study may actually prove that a drunk craps player can be better based on fact, not superstition.  According to researchers at the University of Illinois in Chicago:
They found that men with a couple beers under their belts were actually better at ...  creative problem-solving tasks,” psychologist Jennifer Wiley reported on the Federation of Associations in Behavioral and Brain Sciences (FABBS) site.
Getting the dice to work for you on a live craps table definitely involves "creative problem-solving" skills.  Additionally, it is known that alcohol actually suppresses parts of the brain that are used for math skills.  This combination can be helpful on the craps table, especially by those dice tossers that are distracted (or lose focus) by the math or betting thought processes (press, don't press, regress, odds, etc.)  Simply put - alcohol diminishes the attributes of the Left Brain (math) and augments those of the Right Brain (creative).

Therefore, alcohol can reduce the interference that the left brain (math) has over the right brain (creative).  This interference is what I refer to as short-circuiting your right brain ... or Brain Fog:
... brain fog lapses in concentration can also result in individuals losing their train of thought ...

Again, as with most so-called craps' superstitions, there can be real cause-effect relationships at play.
